Disagree.

His career has been more noteworthy than this statement up there implies.

Well, I can't argue with you here because no one truly knows what went down in the settlement vs electing to go trial. Also, my error…didn't know in civil suit that claims aren't considered charges.

Different cases require individual treatment.

However, charges were presented in this case where the plaintiffs both claimed wrongdoing.

1. Google the court documents. I've read them. They're out there.

1. One of woman who received the settlement disagrees via court documents.

They settled on monetary terms. Why if there's nothing material would Affleck's legal representation do this? Because it wouldn't be in his best interest to go to trial?

I'm afraid he'll just invite himself to next year's awards…and they'll be cancelled in 2018 anyway.

Shorten up the title by removing "Us", and you have the title to a very bad Dave Matthews Band song.

Oh really. Cool.

Shame that Gary Oldman is in this….give him something good so that he can win his first Oscar.

To think, he studied the 800 page text of poet Ron Padgett, whose poems appear in the movie. No, the entire 800 pages. I guess you could say he prepared for the role.

Yes. I noticed this, too. Paterson, Manchester by the Sea, and Silence…all play down their context in a very subdued, but effective fashion it would appear.

Along with Paterson…two other films from this year. Cool.

I'm going to love this movie.

That would be great but I also think stifling criticism isn't good, either. I respect AO Scott opinion.

Well, he doesn't, but….if you do, more power to you…I guess.

I think it's getting overhyped. I do like AO Scott's take, however:
Whether that is enough — whether the fractures in the Rebel Alliance and the power struggles in the imperial ranks quicken our pulses and engage our emotions — is the big question, but it really isn’t a question at all. Millions of people will sit

AO Scott wasn't a big fan, neither IndieWire, nor the Wall Street Journal's critic. That says something, right?
