He’s the free market!

Yeah, but in Rome, they gave it away to the people. We’ve got to pay for cable, dammit!

That moment was pretty amazing, especially being in a theater full of silent, stunned nerds, all marveling at it.

Except didn’t the Empire at least bother to give them bread and circuses to distract the lower classes? That would be shot down as entitlements nowadays.

I know! I’m waiting to find out where we fling the people after we’re out of manure.

Oh, and one corollary for good measure:

And I’d wager if he’s in the vet’s office, with his keyfob in his pocket as he claims, that would count as “Not in use”.

My trick is putting my phone in a bowl to amplify the sound and leaving it sitting on the counter outside the shower, but hey, whatever works.

It’s not casual viewers who harass writers like this- or go out of their way to engage with other fans. That’s what the tweet is about.

Fandoms and viewer numbers aren’t the same thing, though. Lot of things that have strong fandoms, but don’t get the ratings to make them viable for the network. And things that get a lot of attention, but don’t have a real fandom.

Also, given that the conversation started with claims that Marvel is suffering in sales, you can’t really come in and say “Well, they’re still making sales, but they don’t matter, because...”

Yeah, the fanbase is a really big reason why I’ve never given it a shot. I love Community, but...

If he really wanted some forgiveness, he would have quit months earlier, or done his job in a way that wasn’t so full of shit.

It’s TMZ, they’re basically The Worst.

By the way- he wanted to do a complete Muslim ban.

Funny, because I think that the exact same “So he’s a racist, it’s not a big deal, stop pointing it out” complicity that you’re trying to push by this whole “Well, okay, he’s racist, but he’s not a white supremacist” argument that normalizes his awful behavior deserves plenty of credit for the scenario we find

No, believing that white supremacists are all about explicit violence is not a good thing, it gives people who support white supremacy an absolute pass, just because they’re not neo-nazis, so they think they aren’t that bad.

If “What is politically smart?” is an influencing factor in the question of “Should I renounce this white supremacist?”, then you’re an awful individual.

“Antifa is bad” and “There were good people on the side chanting Nazi slogans” aren’t the same concept. It’s possible to condemn one side without giving a pass to the other.

So the defense is “He’s just racist, not a white supremacist!” now?
