Ubaldo had been on a good run, but Britton is still the much better option, and once Ubaldo gives up back to back hits you HAVE to bring in Zach. You can’t play for the 12th and 13th in that situation.

Believing the game will go on much longer is fine in the regular season. In a do or die playoff game, the priority MUST be to get out of that inning. You have to keep putting up zeroes until you score. Britton does that much better than Ubaldo.
