Wish.com isn’t just bad, its abysmal. By far the worst business I have ever interacted with. Just save yourself the headache and stay away. I still have a wristwatch from them where the hands actually run backwards. Would be cool if the dial were backwards as well but it’s not so the watch is only accurate twice per

Back in middle school my dad bought a ‘new to us’ 1983 Buick LeSabre 2Dr with just over 150k miles. Being my teenage self, I thought a LeSabre was *almost* a Buick Grand National, and it thrived on the abuse of being driven like one. My parents divorced shortly after and between my moms new job and me and my sister

We also have a 1996 Suburban (GMC) that we stay in on occasion, and even in Oregon which usually gets below 60 degrees at night, it’s hot and muggy inside the Suburban. Put the windows down and rain or mosquitos come in. Need some sort of magnetic screens with a small plastic overhang so rain doesn’t come in.

As a car guy who spent his younger years 30-40 years ago biking up to a hundred miles per day on narrow country roads with no shoulders, I’d like to weigh in. Not once in two decades of riding did I even have a car come close to me because people paid attention while driving. Distracted and impaired driving penalties

I’d like to add to the article since I think, particularly when dealing with relatives or close friends, that you need to make it less about yourself, even if they happen to be COVID deniers. Two weeks ago we had a very close family member go into hospice care and most of the family went to his bedside to be with him

We have the technology to actually make the roads safer, but every time something like speed cameras get implemented, it’s done in a stupidly punitive manner to where we just no longer trust the police or government to ‘do the right thing’. Here in Portland, we had a engineer prove that the timing mechanism was off

Dated technology, small battery. Not a great deal at $200 (that should be it’s MSRP in the current robotic vacuum market).

Not true dolsh. To this day I have no clue how it got ordered on my account. We never even started a purchase and didn’t ever want that feature. I did do the 30 day Autopilot trial when my car was new but just didn’t see the value, and this ‘accidental purchase’ was many months afterwards. I still wonder if they had

I used to be a Tesla fanboy until they did this to me. To me and to this day I still don’t know how it got ordered. We never even got confirmation and saw the charge the following month on our credit card bill. Tesla told me “Sorry, we don’t give refunds.” even though they could probably even see I hadn’t ever used

It’s amazing how much damage can be done and not leave significant marks. For everyone saying there would have to be significant damage I can attest that’s not the case. My wife came home a few months back and said she accidentally backed into a rock at the park in our M3 while turnin around. There were just a few

Natural Gas Line to your house - 5 psi / Hydrogen - 2000 psi
Natural Gas burns only at fuel/air ratios between 5-15%. / Hydrogen burns at almost any concentration (4-75%)
Hydrogen can’t be easily made odorless without contaminating fuel cells.

Gearhead analogy: Your car’s engine is struggling due to lack of fuel in the gas tank. Corporate bailouts are like saying, “Hmmm, not enough power, we should put in a bigger engine!”  The bigger engine still can’t get enough fuel from the empty tank, which is why corporate bailouts never really work. Giving money

High school soccer practice ended and my buddy in an early 80's Ford Escort and my 78 Chevy Impala had 12 sweaty people crammed into our two cars.  We decided to race, for no other reason than we were teenagers with cars full of friends. I managed to get past the escort and was doing 70mph down a narrow country road

The county gave him way more time than I would have. The only thing lacking was Dauzet’s grasp of reality when it came to the value of a vehicles after it sits in the bushes for a decade or two. If he had put reasonable prices on these and posted them online, he’d would have had most of them gone inside of a month,

Will 3rd this, and my most recent rental was a POS Chevy Aveo in Mexico that was manual everything (windows/door locks) and a gearbox that felt and sounded like it was just a metal box with a bunch of loose parts inside. We rented a Jeep Compass on the Big Island of Hawaii and couldn’t believe how much I hated this

You are bringing back bad memories (owned a TurboZ). I loved the look of the car, but it was a dog with massive turbo lag. The engine always felt like it was trying to move an aircraft carrier (and handled about as good as a carrier). Never seen an interior where bits just randomly fell off every few weeks like that

I just don’t get why Honda wouldn’t put a Civic SI body (or the Hatchback) on an EV chassis. I am sick do death of traditional car makers thinking EV’s have to be ‘cute’. Even on the Clarity they had go do with those stupid looking rear fender covers that make it look like a turtle. They might improve efficiency, but

I do NOT need an EV that:
-crushes my passenger’s kidney’s when I accelerate.
-can take a cross country trip.
-screams “EV Hipster Dork” with stupid styling
-charges in the time it takes to fill up a car

I have to agree, basic aerodynamics dictates that they were actually in a partial vacuum behind the vehicle, thus were literally sucked along to that speed. With a little tweaking of the aerodynamics to make an even stronger vacuum the top speed is only limited by how fast the lead vehicle can go.

We bought an accord Hybrid with a similar eCVT this spring, and were able to achieve the rated fuel economy for about 6 months by just driving with a lighter foot. Our fuel economy seemed to take a big hit right around the time the fuel suppliers would have switched over to ‘winter gas’. We still aren’t sure if it was
