During the last recession, there were a lot of stories in the papers about people who were hit hard. The story that I most remember was some guy who was leasing a Lexus for $1k a month, then lost his job and lost both the car and his apartment within a few months.

The couple described in the article is taking home $8k per month. In the parts of this country where automobile factories are located, that’s really good money.

Can’t agree more. Let the major manufacturers build crap, they are good at it and you aren’t and it takes a cubic butt ton of money to catch up. Instead, develop power trains for their vehicles. You are good at that and they aren’t and they are spending a butt-ton to catch up. Just Imagine....
