I’ve always been partial to cabinet facing on appliances (I don't know what this is formally called). You can get wood paneling to match your cabinets to make it look like your dishwasher and fridge are just big cabinets. The pheromone traps are the real deal. I’ve done thorough cleanups (or what I thought were thorough) and still caught a few moths the next day or two. I keep re-upping the traps and after a few months, they are finally empty after several weeks.

I tend to agree with you. The only thing I will say against it is that there are plenty of people who don't really care about politics (that alone would be a red flag to some!) and probably politics is not a huge deal on the first date.
