Came here to say this - Yellowjackets is aimed squarely at kids who were in high school in the mid-to-late 90s. (the old Millennial/young GenX crew, who just so happens to be the biggest group of TV viewers in the US) -- it’s a pure nostalgia play (this is not a complaint - the show is great!)

Yes, you are correct - when writing it’s best to parse your words like this. But the issue here is usually in speaking - people are not as precise in choosing their words for verbal communication.

In case you don’t want to watch the video:

I get what you’re saying, but you’re not going to successfully change someone’s mind by saying “I’ll call you what I feel like.”

Don’t do what my wife did: doctor told her to mix the liquid warm, and she thought she had to drink it warm. YOU DON’T. (The article is very clear on this.) The liquid tastes so much worse warm than cold. Get it ice ice cold and drink it.

Best trick I know for late cancelations at a hotel:

Agree - I am testing now mostly for COVID theater (like TSA is “security theater”). My kid’s daycare requires weekly negative tests and negative tests any time they show a symptom - so we have to keep a number of them on hand to get through the rest of the winter. Hopefully this requirement will go away in the next

I tuck mine in the couch when I’m not using them, and yank them out of the cushions when I need them. I try to not pull on the ends, but it definitely happens. If you’re careful and you always have a good grip on the plastic end, you can extend the life significantly. If you always pull on the cable (like some people

I don’t love many of these recommendations, but I will endorse box rental places. I have used Juggle Box (www.juggleboxmoving.com) a few times, but there are a lot others. There are three distinct benefits, aside from the environmental benefits:

My experience with Apple accessories is they break at least as often as the generic stuff, frequently more often. After a few years (sometimes months!) of heavy use, they tend to fray at the strain relief point which has been shrunk for aesthetics. There are better made cables out there that are more durable.

Seriously disappointing. Hold the article for a day!

The problem is: diamonds look really great!

My mom lost a couple of diamond earrings over the years. She started being really careful wearing them and wearing them less. It really frustrated her. They’re expensive! She didn’t want to lose them anymore!

They’re *probably* not going to rush into boosters for the 5-11 crowd.

The biggest question being: What happens if someone steals your iPhone?”

I come from a Griswold house. Growing up we used to put up 10,000 or so lights. It was very fun.

(edited because I screwed up the math by a factor of 10, which changed the whole point!)

Thank you, will be trying this weekend! I just got the plastic tool you mentioned.
