You don’t need to see Knives Out to watch, understand, and enjoy Glass Onion. I do recommend Knives Out as also a good film.

I always thought it was funny that people were essentially saying “James Cameron, the man behind several of the greatest SF movies of all time, and who has put a colossal amount of intense work into every movie he’s ever made... is lazy.”

I guess some genres are more tightly bound to their traditional forms.

You’re right, the bullying plotline at the beginning of the season was just absurdly over the top. I stuck it out because my wife was going to watch it no matter what, and I’m glad I did. I mean, if it was a civil trial, then if you were ~66% sure, you should have voted for the tenant without any browbeating needed. Your standard there is preponderance of the evidence.

That’s how it worked on the jury I was on. That was a criminal trial for a serious crime.
