I’m just going to say here that I had a Siamese cat and he was the best cat ever.  Siamese cats for life!

Dylan.  I would not argue that he’s still relevant but he’s definitely prolific and still puts out a classic now and again.

You mean like Uma Thurman, daughter of highly prominent Columbia professor and Harvard and Phillips Exeter Academy grad Robert Thurman?

I have sort of the opposite situation minus the famous parent.  My brain took me on a path well outside of the “family business” (my father and all his 11 siblings are either engineers or married to one).  I wasn’t an exceptional student and so I had really no idea how to get to where I wanted to go.  It took a long

Suite. A “duel LP.”

Post-post-post-post-post-post-post-post modernism.

I’m an 80s new wave kid and new wave DJ at the time. To my knowledge, nobody thought of the Cure as goth. Moody and existentialist, sure, but there was too much other stuff going on for that label (as you point out). Plus the Smiths were also moody and existentialist so the proof was there that one didn’t equal the

Back in the day the comments were as good as the writing in terms of exploring pop culture.  Nowadays the comments are BETTER than the writing.

Are Kotaku’s comments gone now too?  After The Root and The Takeout?  When AV Club comments are gone there will be no point at all to this website.

That was supposed to include an image of Alan Moore’s Lost Girls.

Some of the best porn.

Strong agree.  It’s just ok.  We all loved Winona Ryder back then so she was great but Keaton was grating and the Banana Boat sequence was embarrassing.

I almost stole Benedict Cumberbatch’s hat.

Pedantic but I would be surprised if there wasn’t some documentary somewhere about a famous bouncer from late 1970s, early 1980s NYC.  Studio 54 or something.  I do know someone who was a famous bouncer, as far as that goes, in Toronto and dated several Canadian celebrities who are now very well known internationally.
