Full mouth, pink eyes, can’t lose

I feel so white genocided. Why must you genocide me so, Ashley?

I guess it’s from GQ? There were some decent shopped versions floating around his twitter yesterday.

Drew’s reaction to the interview

This is absolutely abnormal. I’ve never seen anyone do that outside of Office Space.

Absolutely. I would strongly disagree with anyone claiming they were suffering from a heckler’s veto online. Trolling/harassment/threats that limit their ability to participate, sure. But not a true heckler’s veto. That’s pretty limited to meatspace.

Is there any point to doing this now other than to piss on their fans in Oakland?

True. But the heckler’s veto is one of the more difficult issues of free speech law to navigate, because you reach a point where different groups’ rights to free speech conflict.

No apologies necessary, it was helpful. I’m on the internet all the damn time, and my entire exposure to safe spaces consists of:

not blown up. bombed. totally different.

Those examples highlight the issue pretty well. Something that started as “we have empathy for people with PTSD and are going to do this totally innocuous and inconsequential thing that might help them” becomes “shitty people try to abuse that empathy to get out of work.”

Could you say what he objected to? I’m always confused by the safe spaces discussion because I have no idea what either side is really asking for. If a safe space is, like, we’re going to have a black student group and not invite alt-right racists to the meetings, I can’t see what anybody’s objecting to. If it’s

The heckler’s veto is a real problem. But at the same time, saying that protest is incompatible with free speech is not getting the point across very well.

A lot of the quoted section is not from the NFL (or from the linked article, so?). And does nothing to explain the reduction. It explains what they found, not how it was applied to their policy. The expressed policy is any domestic violence = 6 games. Not “only 6 games if we can corroborate 20 other incidents.” Or

I’m not going to say the MOVE tragedy was a good idea, but maybe Philly should consider bombing itself again. Team nobody.

Over-correcting based on the NFL’s disciplinary policies and precedent. Which is why those suspensions were overturned. Not based on on the objective correctness of the suspensions.

Talk dirty to me.

Fun fact: the original revenue estimates were based on projections from the companies that make the games. So, no conflict of interest there :/

Fucking Favre. That year was the worst. I spent a good portion of my life hating him with a passion, and I was convinced he was washed up when they signed him. Of course, he proceeds to have by far the best year of his career, capped by the most Favre pass of all time to lose to the Saints. I wish his second season
