Agreed, I really enjoyed this.

On this side of The Pond crap ones with work start at around €30k. So $27k and the need for a new top, rear lights and whatever comes up, is not so much for a car this rare on your side of The Pond. NP.

Jeremy Clarkson isn’t the nicest man on the planet either. He made a great show. I don’t see why the new prick couldn’t make at least a good show. The entertainment value is what matters here, so far they’re doing pretty good.

VBH in tears over a Ferrari must be one of the highlights

The Picos de Europa have some of the greatest driving roads in Europe. I did a trip there once with a mate and his 1992 Celica GT-i. Absolutely fantastic views, slow curves, great food. Some stunning females may have been involved too. Good memories.

Exactly what I was thinking. What’s the use of a million horsepowers when you have to shortshift all the time on corner exit?

Yes, this new one looks good. Still, I like the outgoing model better. It had the chunky simpleness and timeless elegance Mercedes seemed to have a patent on in the past. This new model might not be a future classic, while the old one definately will, especially in AMG trim.

Our national hero! Can’t wait till he gets crowned world champion!

The want is strong with this one.

That will be as foreign to you young-uns as a rotary dial phone or the use of full sentences

You don’t seem to fully appreciate the wonders of modern ways of running a business. There’s much more space for creativity, flexible hours, taking your own decisions, etc. It turns out that if you give people the freedom to do cool stuff, they will do it. I actually believe the worlds need way more of this kind of

So if you get a race car designer to design an uncompromised road car, change some bits here and there and send it off racing anyway because your customers keep nagging about it, you win Le Mans. And if you put the bits you’ve changed on the road car, you get the F1 LM. What an astonishing story.

Came here to post that Maserati MC12 Corse. That thing is a brazillion times more awesome than a P1 GTR. Slower, yes, but more awesome.

I’d say we might have a very interesting Le Mans on our hands this year.

Absolutely beautiful article, very well documented. This gem is only a few hundreds yards from my house. It’s a 1953 Dudok design and still has monumental status.

I find that Dodge Power Wagon strangely attractive in a machinely kind of way.

Man that’s one ugly nightmare right there.

You get a star if that’s meant as a James May reference

Surprised nobody posted this yet. Your fetish will become an obsession after seeing this one, Justin.

Clearly racegames don’t prepare you for something mundane like rain. Sliding out of control in the rain while going straight is purely a driver’s error. While caught nicely, the fuck-up-factor is way bigger.
