Went to U of I starting in 2008 and can confirm. The best part was, I lived with a guy (from La Grange!) who legitimately knew more about the Blackhawks than I know about the rest of sports combined. My favorite is when I am elsewhere and meet someone that says they’re from Chicago and I’ll tell them I’m from the burbs and then I’ll find out they’re from somewhere even farther out than I am. Happens all. the. time.
