In all honesty, do you have any idea what happened? Even worse, so many people think your take is solid. I suppose this is what Facebook is like - dumb people eating up misinformation. The right subject matter experts can help you understand when you are otherwise incapable.

Once it was safe for all the back markers to clear the safety car, it would have been too late for them all to pass the safety car before it crossed the line for the last lap, and once it crosses the line to start the last lap...it has to stay out until the pits again at the end of the lap. Hamilton would be WDC under

Here’s another way of saying it:
- Max definitely earned the championship over the body of work of 21 prior races. Anyone disagreeing with that is a rabid irrational fanboy of Lewis.
- Max did NOT earn that race win, it was gifted to him on a platter. Crucially, it happened to be what decided the title, but the race

Nope.

My issue with the outcome was that they had a seemingly perfectly reasonable option available - leaving the backmarkers and green flagging the race a lap earlier - but just choose not to do that. I don’t even think the outcome would have been any different, Max probably would have spent half a lap getting around the

You Megan obsessives are weird.

You’re right.  She was under no obligation.  He didn’t make her stop.  She could have just kept walking.  He had an interaction with one of the Williams sisters on that same grid walk where they just said “sorry no” and kept going, literally no hard feelings.    Instead she stopped and seemed happy (and amused) enough

Are you ok? Do your adult caregivers know where to find you?

They’re both off the clock, don’t be a dick and demand they work right the hell now

Demand? Did you actually watch the interaction? There was no demand. A request, politely declined by the way. She seemed quite happy to talk to Martin, it was only her self important bodyguards that were a problem.

I’m with you. These guys are guests there, and F1 is Brundle’s home: it’s not the place of whoever’s security guard to tell Brundle (or anyone from the F1 circus, for that matter) what he can do or not on the grid.

I see you haven’t taken much time to think about this.

The guy demanded she perform impromptu, racing-themed freestyle.

He didn’t demand, he asked, somewhat jokingly.

Pretty sure F1 has zero need for people like her. There are plenty of rich & famous people who have a passion for F1, and I’m guessing MTS is not one of them or she she would have loved to have spoken up about it. And frankly outside of the USGP, is really not even famous.

Just so we’re clear: it’s Megan Thee Stallion’s bodyguards who were being snobbish, elitist, and ignorant here, not Martin Brundle.

1000% disagree.

I mean given Crashstappen’s history, this is more likely:

Verstappen walked away so calmly he knew what had happened and who was responsible. And the fact he was so calm suggests it was premeditated. I don’t think he expected anything that spectacular, but he knew his chances at the championship improved if he crashed them both out.

Why would RBR complain when, instead of falling behind in the points (if Hamilton had won), they’re still ahead?
