Prost and Senna were actively crashing into each other and where taking each other out, at certain points of the season, which would seal a world championship.

Yep....they can't face the facts. It was an ambitious move by Hamilton that didn't play out. If it was Max on the other side you'd have Horner, Marko and the orange army saying that it was just " hard racing", and Hamilton shouldn't complain.

Oh come off it. Everyone but the most deranged max fanboi has already gotten over this and moved on. Everyone who’s watched F1 for more than a couple years knows that drivers fuck up, sometimes dramtically, and sometimes even when it’s your fault the other guy loses out more.

My first reaction was to fault Hamilton.

No, they won’t. Otherwise they’d have asterisks by Schumacher and others as well.

Verstappen pull punches? Have you seen him drive? He literally dares other drivers to challenge him or crash.

The penalties are based on generic situations.

Max is always an elbows out hard charging intimidator who get’s other’s to back off. This time it didn’t happen and being that he was a good many points ahead in the championship and has the faster car he shouldn’t have turned in as hard and just gone wide. Max is “mad Max” because he has in the past done this “damn

No. It wasn’t “all of the blame.”

Albon was actually saying it was a racing incident on the after-show yesterday.

Hamilton didn’t know Max went to hospital. He was told by the team that Max got out of the car by himself.

This is precisely the thing - it was a racing incident borne out of a belief by Max that people would back off instead of crash. Which, in fairness, Hamilton did prior to this corner.

That’s not how it works. Collisions are a part of motorsport. Sometimes they’re minor. Sometimes they have greater, strategic repercussions.

Good analysis. Correct. Lewis’ late feint to the right forced him into a sub-optimal line into the corner and he understeered into Max.

Max was not ahead prior to the turn - he braked later and tried to turn in to shut the door very late, expecting Hamilton to back off as he’s done previously.

It was a racing incident, nothing more.

Erik, it was a racing incident, pure and simple. Neither driver was about to yield the race to the other right then. Both drivers were going for the same thing and hoping that the other would bail out.

What makes their situations different than Grosjean’s?

I dislike EA but I don’t see this really mattering much. Racing games are a dying breed and have more status now as a niche similar to flight simulator games.

I get that tesla has a cult like following with some, and Elon has plenty of indefensible statements, but all car enthusiast circles are just as dumb with the groupthink. I’d take obnoxious Tesla owners that try to make the planet more hospitable over the toxic masculinity truck bro that wants to poison your air any
