It’s French’s or Heinz, for major brands up here. I didn’t know Hunt’s made ketchup.
it’s probably one of the few things we don’t put it on. And at least you all still overwhelmingly go with Heinz. Hunt’s can fuck off.
If you’re going to eat mac and cheese for breakfast, then you should at least eat cold mac and cheese that has been left out on the stove or counter top all night after you drunkenly made it at midnight but only ate half the box. Like an adult.
So the fact that I think mac and cheese is best for lunch makes me...a heathen? A monster? The devil himself? Or just someone who has not yet been successfully marketed to?
Sorry, I subscribe to radical macanarchy and will continue eating box mac and cheese shamefully at 3 am.
Oh, I wish I could remember the name of the place. I want to say it was Sit and Spin, it was a rock club with an attached laundromat. It was a silly late 90s Seattle thing.
I could see something nice in a weekly trip to the laundromat. Dedicated time to sit and read and just be calm.
When the missus and I chose to move in together I demanded in-unit laundry while she insisted on a dishwasher. In Chicago, that’s damn near a unicorn but we found a place and it’s pretty great (and way less than other shittier places we saw). Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the dishwasher. We’re trying one of those…
how is this even a comparison? if you don’t have a dishwasher you’re not going to haul your dirty dishes somewhere and pay to wash them, you just wash them by hand. Clothes? yeah right.
I don’t think you’re gonna find many people who would give up their washing machine. Dishwasher is nice but it’s not as nice as a washing machine.
Laundry, for sure. I used to have to borrow a car to drive to the laundromat a mile away. I could never live that life again. To be fair, I kind of enjoy hand washing dishes, anyway. They always come out better than they do out of a dishwasher.
ah, thanks for sharing this, and a toast his memory. i only have wine at hand right now (some boxed cab), but i suspect he wouldn’t have minded? and so—here’s to a kindred spirit.
I had a friend in high school, she was my FIRST real best friend and we hung out all the damn time. She was kinda mean, sarcastic, and verrrry jaded AND she was also super cool and knew so much about art and music and I cared for her a lot. I ended up changing schools and we hung out less, but weekends were ours we…
Oscar has his personality too, it seems. I like Ramsay too, especially after watching him interact with the kid chefs.
All his shows are entertaining and he seems to genuinely like cooking. I, too, have a soft spot for the shouty man.
