Hardness may translate into scratch resistance but not necessarily into shatter resistance and so far testing has shown sapphire glass to be more scratch resistant, but Gorilla glass to be more shatter resistant. If Apple's version follows this same characteristic I don't know.

Agree totally. The apps that Nokia provided add real value to Nokia WP devices - to the extent that, for me at least, they make WP a real alternative. The Nav, mass transit, and music apps are just fantastic - to say nothing of the outstanding camera. (I have a 920, btw.)

Are you kidding? Nokia's decline in value under 2 years with Elop was half of what it was in the 2 prior years on an absolute basis.

In the 2 years before Elop it went from $25 to $8. He definitely stopped the bleeding and stabilized the company enough that it was worth buying to someone.

Elop did a good job. They started basically from nothing. Symbian was useless by that stage.
