I had a week-long loan for an 86 last year and I also drove that same 86 on a track during a rainstorm at a different event. Hooooooly crap, it’s a terrifying car on a wet track — but a lot of fun!

I’ve driven a Miata RF and a CX-5 in that color. They’re both really nice-looking cars to begin with, but the gloss of that paint just makes them pop. You see super subtle creases and body lines you didn’t even know were there.

A friend of mine just bought a BRZ in WRB and she’s horrified I’m considering a WRX in anything but WRB. It’s a nice color, it’s just not what I want. I’m a sucker for pearl white and limited editions.

I’m glad it wasn’t WR Blue. I like that it’s a color exclusive to this edition. I wish the color was more interesting, but then again if it wasn’t an exclusive color, I’d just be buying a white one.
