Thanks!

Truth. At one point, my ex and I owned six or seven VWs and one Audi between us. Not counting the parts Audi that we stripped and gave away, which was turned into — I kid you not — a hauler for clearing downed trees off a friend’s property.

A good person who doesn’t want to turn into a raging bitch because her car was dented by a shopping cart.

My anecdotal evidence completely supports this theory, and if you throw Audis into the mix, the larger data set also supports this theory.

I put away my shopping cart and any nearby stray carts.

I write about the car industry and don’t even have a car, so.

Well, that was kind of harsh.

Anytime I feel sorry for myself, I just need to remember that at least I am not @IGGYTODAY or @IADaily.

That was my first thought. That would be a way to feed them money and keep tabs on them without being suspicious to outsiders/showing up in documentation/etc.

Either way—it’s funny. What more can we ask of life?

Good. I finally got a foot in the door at this paper as a freelancer and I’ve been terrified that my editor was going to get laid off.

I haven’t listened yet, but I’ll queue ‘em up for a road trip this weekend. I’m intrigued. I got my start in the industry by writing feature stories about average people and their relationships with their cars, so I’m eager to see how you make this work — I know it’s really a lot more difficult than it sounds.

I was parking twelve blocks away from my apartment to make sure the Panamera was kept in a garage.

This interview might have been the best day of Caity Weaver’s life.

Next time I’m writing about a vehicle with a name I’ve never heard before (particularly from a brand that’s known to make up ridiculous names), I’ll be certain to ask an arborist or someone from a town I’ve never heard of. Thanks.

There’s a known issue with oil consumption and Toyota rebuilt the engine based on that, and I give Toyota a lot of credit for it, and it makes me consider buying another Toyota where I probably wouldn’t otherwise. We don’t neglect it, abuse it, or fail to keep up with maintenance; we just drive it hard and put a ton

Well done.

OZ Rallys. <3

Only if it comes in ‘89 Helios Blue with color-coded BBS wheels.

Nothing is wrong with “truck.” Nothing is wrong with “Atlas pickup,” either. My problem with “truck” is that it implies that it’s heavier-duty than it probably is, but, well, I’m a pain in the ass like that.
