Sore subject or something?

Not Joan’s field either. True, their circumstances are different, but Peggy was offered the chance to be her own boss and could have excelled with her skill set.

Eh, I have mixed feelings about that. Peggy puts way too much faith in the agency structure, to the point that I don’t think she thinks she could do better. She could have partnered with Joan and given herself whatever title she wanted. Not that that route would have necessarily panned out to be any better...

She’s watched him treat far too many women poorly to be a doting daughter. But yeah, they still have enough of a foundation for their relationship to change for the better and grow.

Agreed. Sally’s prone to a little bit of flightiness, being a spoiled teenager and all, but she’s also shown that she can be really thoughtful when she lets her defenses down.

I was bummed Peggy didn’t go with Joan. I’d been hoping for years for those two to become allies.

I really don’t think Sally hates Don. He might think she does, but I don’t think she actually does. She just sees him as a flawed person, and she’s also angry and sad and scared.

But Peggy threw away her chance for a spinoff! I hope she changes her mind!

Oh, Joan. I loved that scene.

I totally get where you’re coming from.

I don’t think it’s up to us to administer retribution. The outcome of this trial truly bothers me.

I did not know that. Thank you.

Plenty of Slate commenters wanted it. Not saying they’re any more representative of the general population than any other self-selected group, but I was surprised by that.

That never even occurred to me.

I’m from MA, too (although I don’t live there anymore) and I am genuinely shocked that this happened for exactly those reasons.

And I sort of thought that this curveball was a way to get us excited again after that bullshit of splitting up the season, and then a handful of long-awaited episodes that were just more meandering than usual.

Yeah, let’s make him a martyr. Good work, guys.

That’s what they get for hiring women at all. What were they expecting?

Agreed. I thought the headline was good, though.

If your mom gave you money to buy it, she wants you to have it. Don’t let her down.
