two of my relatives have had bypass. Both say it changed their lives in a good way. STICK TO THE DIET AFTERWARDS!!! That seems to be the most common causes of trouble after. Good thoughts and wishes to you for the surgery

Long-time lurker, first time poster.
I had WLS in early 2016 (DS, not RNY or VSG) and it’s been a transformative experience. It’s scary and you’ll feel exhausted for a few months after, but well worth it. Best of luck!
I think I will promptly freak out once I get an official date!
Congratulations! A family member recently had that surgery and felt the same nervousness you’re describing leading up to it. The immediate post surgery was painful, recovery was steady, but they had the surgery in June and are doing AMAZING. So so happy and free in their new life. I hope this encourages you and…
I’m having VSG early next year. I know exactly how you feel. My program’s psychiatrist assured me that if I wasn’t at all scared, he would be concerned I was in denial about how huge this is.
If 2017 were respresented by a cocktail, it would be toilet water, poured over trash, sprinkled with lighter flyid and set aflame.
Having a section of my colon removed. I had polyps last year and developed scar tissue that has resulted in a stricture which prevents my gastro gal from even being able to get the colonoscopy scope up in my business (and extreme pain if I even think about eating a peanut). Better to have it removed under controlled…

Does anyone want to contact their Representatives or Senators, please? I’m not a US citizen and so cannot - although I spent a lot of time in your wonderful country (almost a decade), and am so grateful about that.
I’ll stay safe. I have sardines and saved-up water. Also, though, I cannot stay away from following the Constitution...and there’s a manifestation tomorrow.
My adoption of my daughter became official this past Thursday. My husband adopted her, too. It was pretty fucking awesome. I worked so hard to get her back. So many years. Feels good as hell, y’all.
Not in the crafts thread because it wasn’t really my crafting, but for my husband’s birthday I got a print he had sitting around framed. He picked the frame, but happily consulted me, and it came out pretty neat:
I had my first glühwein of the season, and it’s the first time I’ve felt a little calm in like three months.
Hi everybody! This is kind of a perfect night for Pumpkinandy! I did some Christmas shopping today, went to library too, and tonight I’m watching the Ohio State/ Wisconsin game, with Masie on my lap. I’m listening to the Counting Crows and drinking 2017 Beaujolais Nouveau (jewel like color, fresh, new wine taste).
Hopeful... not sure if it counts but i am about to take action against my union for failure to represent, which stems from them not taking action when the company i work for violated labour laws against me for 8 months, 6 of which i was not paid as they refused to let return to work after medical leave.
Hey there Jezzies...Craft Thread!
...welp, it appears I’ll be going to Applebee’s for lunch tomorrow.
Wait, I was not aware something like this was in the works. Yes and yes then.
American news is really bad at covering not-American stuff :(
I’m not sure how to start this, Jezzies. Especially, given the fact that this issue should’ve been put to rest last week.
