I liked how Anne Lamott put it in her book Operating Instructions, about having her little boy: she kept waiting for the real parents to show up while feeling like the babysitter. Read more

It’s a lot of work, but there is apparently solid neurological research behind retraining the brain (I’m not going to bother to cite). Referred to as; “neurons that fire together wire together”. I think of it as striking a new path through a forest, “off the beaten track”. As you retrain the brain on new thoughts, the Read more

Only every second of every day! The best bits I’ve picked up are 1) It’s pretty normal to feel like an imposter (I recently learned that even my boss has it) and 2) self talk is super important. So sorry about your elderly dog. Mine is 13, and I watch her like a hawk, cause I’m so frightened about this next part of his life. And, agree with you about how clearly Harry loves Meghan. I only hope they have long healthy happy lives together. I don’t care if he and his whole family have more money than god, my Read more

Am I the only one who really liked the wedding dress? It was clean, modern, no freaking lace in sight, looked gorgeous to the touch, and appropriate for the occasion without being stodgy. Yeah, the night-time reception dress is cooler in all ways, and I’d rather wear it if I had a zillion dollars and a fancy party to Read more

I loved both the dresses! The first was so elegant. Perfect for the situation-I love that it read “understated, confident, and classy” rather than “princess fantasy.” The second dress, while equally beautiful, would not have been appropriate for the ceremony but was dynamite for the reception.
