I get it. It’s a “good” problem to have, and feels like sour grapes, but dreading how you spend more than half your waking hours is a shitty way to go through life.

I just read the book, and she absolutely discusses intersectionalism.
It was a good book. And her points about our cyber issues and the entire half of the book where she offers practical solutions are both excellent. She takes blame for those who want to see her put on a hair shirt, imo more than she should.
It’s a…
Interesting. Especially because Warren actually got similar treatment to Hillary when she was running for office - she was basically classed as a cold nerd and there was a lot of speculation about whether she had the “charisma” to run for higher office. (She was my secret hope for a VP pick, but I knew realistically…
“Cool girls” are gonna “Cool girl” the hell out of an article about Hillary Clinton. Seriously, the Jezebel writers are incapable saying anything just plain complementary about Hillary Clinton without the “I’m still a cool girl and really hate her” commentary.
Explain to me exactly how this book is going to prevent the democrats from moving forward and accomplishing something?
I don’t mind the trolls as much as I mind the “progressives” who violently hate Hillary for reasons that have nothing to do with her gender even though they have no issue with male politicians who are as guilty — if not more so — of the things they claim to hate Hillary for. Like all the people who hate Hillary…
I mean, it took almost negative 30 minutes of Trump’s godforsaken administration for all the “Obama wasn’t the progressive President we wanted” Dems to be like “Remember Saint Obama? Those were the days.”
I know someone who knew Hilary and Bill at Yale. Apparently, he was a slut (shocker) and she was scary smart. Like, however smart he was, she was even more so.
culture teaches women not to brag is essentially her argument
I know, right? “Damn, this book is really good. But they are going to kick me out of the Bernie Kombucha Co-Op if I say it out overtly.”
Lol at the saltiness of this article. Could anyone say less with more words?
Go read wonkette’s. They shut down the trolls hard over there, and it was all just a ton of fun. I think the house of snark is a little tired of the sainting of Bernie and is having their fun wherever they can.
I finished it earlier today and I would encourage everyone to read it. I found it to be a refreshingly blunt account of HER experiences. You may like what she has to say, you may not, but I thought the book was very well done. She defends herself and her decisions when she feels that she should and admits fault in…
Hasn’t every failed presidential candidate from a major party in modern history written a book recounting the election? She’s doing what she’s always done which is playing by the book.
Reasons not to shut about 2o16 election:
It hasn’t even been a year. She’s allowed to reflect publicly, it was a pretty major event that continues to shape this country’s future, and God knows Trump hasn’t stopped talking about it.
To me, “Hillary Clinton” is President Hillary Rodham Clinton, ahem! (R.e. HillaryBeatTrump.org!!!) That said, this book is fucking funny. She a brilliant writer. “Defeat” is a horrible essay subject, especially for a feminist. I’m fucking proud of her.
So in other words, you don’t want to admit it’s good. Off to buy a copy!
It is really good. Which might emerge from this article if Jezebel had gotten someone other than one of their eighteen Sanders cult members to review it.
It’s interesting to speculate how such a book by Clinton would have been received 5 or 10 years from now. I think history will be much kinder to her than this dreadful present moment.
