I had a similar thought the other night when PriceofEggs Jr was doing something annoying (I mean, he’s still very much an infant, he’s still not remotely old enough to be doing anything intentionally annoying yet: he just likes screaming at the wee hours of the night at a pitch that shatters glass and sanity both).

It’s hard for me to put my finger on why this image of Leia is so powerful to me. Is it the undeniable authority of the cape that reminds us she’s as much a general as a princess? Is it the full coverage costume so in contrast to the iconic slave girl outfit, making me think about how that enslavement might have felt…

I ADORE that they have her doing such a powerful pose. Because it’d be the same badass pose if she was a male character, which is awesome. And now I’m crying again.

There’s no reason this should make me super emotional but that pic knocked me over like a ton of bricks.
