I recommend at the beginning- the stories are serialized to a degree (you can start where_ever and probably be fine) but there is some nice character development, and it's interesting to see how Mignola grows as an artist and a storyteller. (he starts off great btw)

i agrree- i don't remember seeing another scene in the show that uses score like that. It was very effective and a very beautiful & tender scene.

Her movie Chocolat would be in the mix also.(not the Depp vehicle) from there it gets weirder (though I think Beau travail has some pretty whacky things that it does). yeah i think you are right on about Elizabeth- the thing he said earlier in the episode about War being easier for her wasn't about killing or anything, since Phillip is exceptionally good at that part of it- its the afterwords he is getting worse and worse (better and better?) at.
