My dad has been going to the same barber for over 50 years, except for a couple years when he lived elsewhere. For the last 30 years, my dad drives a half-hour to get there. He usually pairs a haircut with going to the movies down the road, so it’s not just an hour roundtrip for a chop.

Yeah I respectfully disagree with this completely. I found Hopper’s behavior to be a new father who would have struggled with a teenage daughter (as many do IRL) in even the best of circumstances, and their circumstances are hardly ideal.

I actually find that shoes are excellent for making snap judgments about a person’s character. The failure to wear real shoes is a shoe-statement of it’s own. I am a terrible person and I regret nothing.
