Unfortunately, my expectations for such a program are on par with “Safe Sport” for the gymnasts, while a certain doctor was allowed to continue assaulting teenagers.

They’re used to being rich assholes who can get away with anything because they can afford lawyers and would be too expensive to prosecute. Unfortunately, they went and got their dumb asses elected to high office, where people actually give a shit and will hold you accountable.

Plus the fact that Aaron Rodgers would likely have nothing to do with him.

If that’s what racial purity looks like, we’re all gonna need to have sex with someone who is like the literal opposite color than us to prevent it.

“But we don’t deserve healthcare/jobs/a basic standard of living because Jesus?”

Sometimes. I usually say that my particular Scottish/Irish ancestors got here illegal as fuck, and here we all are, and that there’s probably plenty of people running around saying “well, my family got here the RIGHT way,” and odds are they’re full of shit. In our family, the general consensus is that if it was okay

Two weekends ago, I was in a parade wearing a Scottish kilt, playing Irish and Scottish music, in a parade where the Czech flag was flown with abandon. THOSE people all changed how America looked and acted. I bet when those Czech people got there, people groused about how it didn’t look like “their” America anymore

Yeah, but you’ve seen Real Housewives, right? Like just because you’re on the brink of bankruptcy and your house is about to be foreclosed on doesn’t mean you DON’T buy that $1000 coat. Rich people broke is different than poor people broke.

Also? Jesus Christ we need Jon Stewart to shame the shit out of these assholes. Except they have no shame, so that probably wouldn’t work.

I mean, I guess he picked an internist to weigh in, who might have some idea of what patients need? But he’s an internist in Palm Beach, sooo..... kinda different. My nursey sense says I’d like him as a hospitalist and he probably doesn’t make terrible decisions, but who knows?

What I’m saying is why can’t veterans go to any healthcare provider of their choosing, rather than being forced to wait through the VA. I’m saying why can’t those benefits cover the local hospital/clinic as opposed to making you go to a hospital/clinic that may not even be convenient for you. Why can’t the VA

I know I’m not supposed to say this as a liberal or whatever, but why the fuck can’t veterans just get the kind of care where they go to regular care providers? In the Washington Post article, there’s a story about a guy waiting three fucking years for knee surgery. Then there’s the guy who is probably IN a VA

In the Washington Post article, it says that those jobs are being done through a contractor who is paying people $12.50/hr to listen to all manner of calls, including ones that they hang up and call the police to do a wellness check. The call line is a smoke screen, and that contractor is no doubt collecting a

Former Sconnie here. Scooter McPuppyEyes is a fucking travesty. But in MN, the GOP is deciding who they want to run as governor, and that list includes a formerly centrist Republican who already ran the state, did a fair to shitty job of it, and now all the sudden is trying to suck up to Trump, and the other guy, who

No shit, weren’t they just a few minutes ago bitching about how they were going to pay for veteran healthcare, when they had all the money in the world for the tax cut, and apparently this goddamned wall?

Not to mention the fact that it’s a democratic senator that’s coming to his assistance? I wonder how many GOP lawmakers returned their calls.

A) I’m probably going to end up paying more in April, which bites the big one

You know, Sarah, no one would have even known about your incident at the Red Hen had you not done the passive aggressive “I’m the better person but my Twitter followers are not” tweet that got the exact results you knew they would. You are culpable. Sorry that makes you uncomfortable. Also, quit whining about Michelle

I’ve already heard “but you have to have ID to write a check!” thing. I’ve seen maybe five people in the last 10 years write a check in a grocery store. Maybe.
