I tried to be a record store clerk too, and was rejected. I figured I wasn’t cool enough. :( It legit broke my heart when I was 18.

Also, to clarify, there are many many people in this documentary expressing how much they loved the clerks there (Elton John especially). But they’re all men!

I get that aspect as a black woman but as a nerd I wanted her for his sister so bad!! Shuri is a badass in her own right and even takes up the Black Panther mantle at one point in the comics. But I will be happy if she gets cast for anything at all because she is Queen Lupita and I love her.

I found Julia Roberts supporting interesting, if not a little unoriginal.

I would love to see her be the love interest! Can you imagine the blinding beauty of such a pairing onscreen? I was resigned to Panther being paired off with Black Widow or Scarlet Witch simply because they’re already there.

Thank GOD! I want to watch her in everything. She just lights up the screen.

I can’t wait. I have pretty much zero knowledge of Black Panther but after Civil War I am ALL ABOUT T’CHALLA. He was just magnetic and makes me SUPER excited for his solo film. Chadwick was just incredible and really stood out.

I don’t think people understand how important and unusual it is for this particular woman to be cast as anyone’s love interest. THR is saying love interest, but I’m holding out hope that she’ll be Shuri, T’Challa’s sister who has at various times held the mantle of Black Panther.

This is the only time that I can remember in recent memory where a Jez staff member who is not Kara Brown (RIP Shade Court) called something shade that I am fairly confident is actually shade.
