Kurt would have been more likely to go acoustic than electronic, in this poor sap's opinion.

after all U2 made some pretty radical (I use the term loosely, they don't look so radical in retrospect) sonic changes around then and nobody blinked.

Main's Motion Pool was another interesting "never gonna sell for shit" album that was brought over in a distribution deal with Beggar's Banquet. that they also managed to finance a music video was even more amazing.

I like that songs much more than Stars. No idea why it wasn't the hit and Stars was. Stars is fairly generic alt rock.

I don't think they're as bad as people made them out to be, though they have a few really awful tracks, but it was a really obvious case of the majors cashing in on Nirvana and made all the worse by Gavin being pretty complicit in it all.

I like Hum, but I don't think they're nearly as good as their fans make them out to be. Their influence is also a fairly recent thing, but mostly some fairly mediocre punk-ish/shoegaze-ish bands. (though Cloakroom, produced by Matt Talbot, is pretty good.)

not the best, but eh:

this sounds so much more interesting than the reunion series. Seriously, who the fuck really wanted a Full House sequel?

I feel like it's toned down, but still unmistakably Adam Sandler and he still manages to stick out. to be fair, i think part of the problem is his choice in movies; they may be better than some of his later fare, but they're generally mediocre movies otherwise.

it's been a while since I've seen it (and I'm not even sure if I finished it or not), but all I remember is being incredibly annoyed by pretty much everyone else in the film. It was like an inverse Sandler film where everyone else is an absolute asshole (think: an arty version of Meet the Parents) to the point where I

I can generally agree there. I'll give him that I think he tries, but his drama movie choices are largely just mediocre (not really through any fault of his)

I honestly don't remember a thing about the movie. I don't remember it being bad, but I don't recall it being much better than ok.

I feel like Sandler's foray into dramas gets acclaim sheerly through low expectations. He's still basically playing Adam Sandler (largely weepy, morose Sandler), but generally not screechy, shouty Sandler… so automatic A+ or something when they're largely 2-star at best movies.

I wouldn't say it counts against it so much as a once popular band that no one gives a shit about and further influenced no one (or no one that anyone gives a shit about) is probably not going to get in; similarly, Candlebox will probably not get in. It also probably doesn't help that there's a bias against Prog as

my bet is maybe a bonus disc with a remixed version, but not a remixed version replacing the album entirely.

just wait until Vaporwave mk. II appears

really? every time I've watched him, the guest is more or less leading the interview while Fallon just sits there giggling nonstop.

Death Wish VI: Mayberry RFD

I'd say there are some good episodes, but yeah not nearly enough to realistically justify lumping it in with the classic era. It sucks that some good episodes were relegated to kind of crap seasons, but 2 or 3 episodes out of 22 don't redeem the entire season.
