eh, considering how hit or miss S9 is (though good overall, albeit a huge drop in quality), I'd say it's definitely where the show started going off the rails. You have worse seasons, but S9 is where the cracks really started to show (or at least start to affect the show in terms of quality as S8 had some faults in

yeah, not the best comparison. I meant more that though Honeymooners was influential, it's seen as somewhat crass in its humor ("to the moon, alice!") and doesn't particularly hold up in terms of social norms. MWC is kind of in the same boat, but without the degree of influence.

History and hindsight has been a lot more kind to MWC's cartoonish depiction of lower-middle class life that the rags-to-riches story of Roseanne.

"Hell, I had a nightmare where Kurt Cobain is still alive and is at the stage with Madonna and Alicia Keys during the Tidal press conference."

I think the biggest problem I have with the middle tracks is that the transition is a bit jarring. It work when seguing into the final track, but otherwise the first track more or less just stops and the drone picks right up.

a bulk of Yanqui was known as Tiny Silver Hammers. 9-15-00 was called Taser Floyd, I believe.

this is a kind of odd one for me in that I like it as it's playing, but it doesn't really leave much of an impact once it's done. It generally just leaves me wanting a bit more.

I have no opinion on the whole Trve Black Metal thing, but everything I've heard on it sounds like a for-serious version of the Most Unwanted Song. Plus points for originality, but this is some of the most annoying stuff I've ever heard.

does Spidey-Curtis hang himself with his own webbing?

I could've sworn a Clerks 3 was announced, possibly scripted. in light of Mallrats 2, I assume it won't come to fruition.

" where you're supposed to at least kind of pretend to like your projects."

"I guess I'm mostly just saying Parks didn't really have a Scott Adsit type situation where the show outgrew the point of a character who was kept around anyway."

more or less my feelings too. I think that once Leslie got on the city council, they realistically couldn't move her up the ladder any further without disrupting the dynamics she had with the rest of the characters.

I can agree with this, though I'd add that Community has the least amount of good seasons out of all the shows mentioned, and not just because the other shows lasted longer.

I felt like I would've liked the sixth season much more if it was the actual last season (which even the writers seemed to think it was), but I was pretty much on the same level as you were where it felt like a chore to watch because it was an open-ended commitment.

I mostly just felt like the series had clearly run its course by the end of last season. P&R being more emotional has always felt a bit forced, mostly because they rarely faced any real adversity (i'm pretty sure AV Club had an article on this).
30 Rock is definitely the better show.

Prometheus is better than its reputation suggests, though I don't think it's a good example of a fan service that merely didn't live up to its reputation.

not angry and though Melissa McCarthy can be funny, I think adding her is basically like adding Chris Farley (surely it's no coincidence she played one of his characters on SNL40?) to the original. Too much physical comedy for my taste.

I thought it was a pretty good episode with a few good gags (though I didn't really buy Moe and the Princess' relationship), but I think the only thing really good I can say is that the plot is not a complete mess like a lot of later-day Simpsons. I feel like everyone is fawning over this episode because they managed

"It just seems a shame to damn this with faint praise, when a Swervedriver comeback is probably better than 75% of what's out there"
