“Bojack Horseman gets better” is one of the most egregious lies I’ve ever believed. One of the worst offenders of the “depression = ‘I’m actually a Deep Person’” mentality. I hated every moment of the first season.

I knew she was friends with Morrissey, but I think it's more interesting that Linder Sterling gets a prominent place in the story. Her band Ludus was an interesting mix of New Wave and Rock in Opposition.
Rick really taps into the "People think I'm an asshole, but I'm really a misunderstood genius" mentality a lot of internet users think themselves as. Maybe that wasn't its initial appeal, but definitely in the last season or so.
I get the appeal of Death Grips, but I'm mostly just not sure why anyone needs more than one or two albums by them as the shtick got old very quickly.
season 3 has some great episodes, but some utter dreck as well, especially in the second half.
it seems like an odd example as the anti-Nazis sentiment in WWII seems more rooted in nationalism (however justified) than against any specific traits of the Nazis.
Original post: I'm pretty convinced now that that's supposed to be her that the roach-frog crawled into in episode 8; some people suggested that it was Laura Palmer at the time
Fly was definitely the least egregious of all the overplayed shit that came out in 1997 (and good god was there a ton of it that year.) Might be because there was no hype surrounding Sugar Ray beyond that specific track, whereas Hanson, Spice Girls, etc. were really inescapable.
along comes an episode full of lame, "In Living Color"-style routines about homosexuals.
would never have guessed that Twin Peaks fans and Lynch fans would not be one in the same in 2017, to be honest. The former are wearing some hardcore rose-tinted glasses too.
eh, I think it's always been a bit up and down and with many frustrating moments/actions. Probably is about time to wrap it up though.
you're not wrong, but the Dark Tower would work so much better as GoT-style series.
I liked the first season, but the oversaturation has made it unbearable; like a constant stream of "DAE BARB?!"
There's certainly a lot of nostalgia in the Stranger Things trailer, but it's all in the service of story, character, setting, and mood.
Juggalo Cult is pretty scary, tbh
Deftones' first 2 albums are about as Nu Metal as you could possibly get (and even their follow-ups aren't too far off either) and everyone who was into Korn, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chamber, etc. at the time was also into Deftones as well. The only thing that's making their (and SOAD's) status as Nu Metal questionable is…
according to a lot of people, any song that features a chorus pedal = shoegaze influences.
the fact that Deftones' Nu Metalness is questionable and are instead being considered closer to shoegaze makes me feel like I'm going fucking nuts.
I feel like the band's sound is interesting on paper, but it doesn't really add up to anything memorable, even if it's well produced. Soul + Post Punk should be way more memorable, but I mostly found myself wondering when it would end just 3 tracks in.
