The more I think about the poor photo quality, the more I buy into the “leaked on purpose” idea. Seems like you’d have to go out of your way to make a picture this low-rez in 2020. But then again. Maybe a GameBoy camera is the only thing you can sneak into a design studio 😂

I was about to say...why not make “work from home if you want to, unless you absolutely have to come in” an option all the time?

You’ve distilled the essence of every product revision reaction into a taut five sentences and 30 words (fudging, split one of those contractions to make it even). I applaud you.

oh it was definitely due for an update. The 3D look is out of date.

Marketing people can’t just ignore your emails all day, they need variety in their jobs like anyone else.

I hate it.  But I’ll get used to it.  In fact, it’s sort of an improvement.  Actually I prefer it.  The next one after this will be terrible, surely.

Everything is going flat again and retro-simple. Go back to the 1963 version - no need to reinvent the wheel. Losing the black ring gives the logo less impact. This is just change for change’s sake and not for any good reason. Just read that stupid PR-quote to confirm that. Of course all the German cars I buy are 20+

I don’t get why logos are “due for updates” anyway. Unless there’s a fundamental shift in the business that muddles the logo’s message or they used some very period-specific styling in the first place, there’s no need to change something that currently works. It only makes sense when there’s a functional issue to be

If this was only Deere vs Farmers, I would be right there with you.

On the one hand, you have corporations doing what corporations try to do everyday: maximize revenue. On the other hand, you have farmers who generally support politicians who enable corporations to do what they want, except when it comes to stuff that affects them personally.

Hot-rodding is a national birthright!

Neutral. No, you aren’t missing anything. Companies like Deere are trying to claim that you bought the hardware and leased the controlling software. What this means is that a farmer can’t fix his equipment because it requires a software change every time you replace a part, or you now have a giant lawn ornament.

I think you’re framing this irresponsibly. It’s more like he got the job, was like hey something’s up, talked to the correct authorities and got the company to fix it, and now that it’s obviously awkward he’s going to go get a new job.

lol. wut. This thing is the same price as a base cayman and will utterly destroy it, performance wise. it’s not remotely in the same league. it will probably wipe the floor with a gt4 and that start, at what, 90+k?

Agreed. You have to keep in mind, her reviews of “could be faster” and “could be louder” is exactly what GM wanted with the base model C8. It is a very athletic car for a reasonable price. Not over the top, but highly accessible.

I suspect they mean the cooling system is designed to handle all-out track days at up to 100 F.

Driver-centric interiors are pretty awesome in cars that are meant to be driven. You feel like you are in a cockpit and everything is in just the right place or facing just the right direction.

Wow. I’ve seen a lot of photos of the ‘Vette prior to this, but these ones make it look completely different. I actually really like the way it looks. I’ll have to trust your instincts here since you actually spent some time with it in the flesh, but the only aesthetic hiccup to my eyes is the rear taillight/signal

Another reviewer (Cleetus McFarland) is something like 6'6" and says he fits much pretty well in the C8; even more so compared to the C7, but not quite as well as the C6.

The Corvette kept its composure even with mid-corner gear changes, so smooth were the shifts that they surely must have been lubricated by purist tears.
