It’s the spiritual successor of the Oldsmobile Alero.

Can feel a bit sluggish

As an Englishman, the American penchant for pickups has always mystified me. They’re big, have a large, exposed load bay in the rear, and the interiors range from “grim” to “grim with shiny bits on.” As far as something to use as a car, they appear to offer the worst of two worlds: illogical family car,

Ford makes F250s 2 miles from my office. When I factory order them for my job, those bastards sit “in transit” for months before we finally receive delivery. Its nonsensical.

Protectionist dealer friendly legislation, that is why. Our system is broken.

You do get 855HP worth of downside, though. That is, you need to have enough engine internals strength and cooling for 855HP even if you’re only getting 755HP out of it.

Setting aside the absurdity of a “safety” system that actually enables people to be less attentive behind the wheel, functional doesn’t have to mean ugly.

“Fun” driving is all about feedback. At one end, you have steering that sends every camber and crack through your hands to your brain and pedals that tell you exactly where the edge of traction is, feeling the car load up on the springs through a corner and the shocks managing the tiny imperfections....

I say we move away from light up badges and go all in on fast and furious style LEDs that project the logo under, and around the car at all times.

What Audi SHOULD do is make the sensor areas much larger. They can make them round, maybe put them in groups of three arranged in a triangle formation. Really make them into a statement piece.

Ralph Illenberger from MB says: “The turbocharger just uses the exhaust energy, which at the end is much more efficient by enabling a high power output over a wide range of revs...” but I don’t think this is quite correct. In a naturally-aspirated engine, during the exhaust stroke, the piston is pushing the exhaust

I think the point about exhaust note is chronically ignored by the car community. I’m extremely picky about exhaust tone. When it comes to V8 engines, I’ve yet to find a single turbo V8 that doesn’t sound like a dump truck. Every single turbo LS sounds like a big block with an exhaust leak.

I fell in love with the supercharger whine in 1998 when a guy in my neighborhood had a Jaguar XJR. I coveted that car like it was his wife.

Something else to consider...

“It makes 755 HP from the LT5 engine, whose supercharger consumes about 100 HP at full boost. “So,” Lee said, “our engine is really making 855 HP at the crank, since 100 HP is used to drive the supercharger.”

“They be like ‘Oh that custom VIN, that’s hella tight!’”
I’m like ‘Yo, that’s five thousand dollars for five digits!’
Limited edition, let’s do some simple addition
$1000 dollars for every digit, that’s just some ignorant bitch shit
I call that getting swindled and pimped, shit
I call that getting tricked by a business,

Commenting too late, so no one will see this, but this isn’t a new option to the Corvette. They have been doing this for a while and even on the C7 it was $5,000. Old news.

Can’t wait for the inevitable recall that affects cars with VINs ending in 29000 through 31223, and also that one guy that requested “PEN15.

The first owner will gobble up VETTE then the rest will be stuck with variations of V3TT3 and such.
