The writer has specifically stated that it looks like them in a previous article.  Maybe judgement shouldn't be the go to here.

Exactly. We often think that gaming must have some form of “fulfillment,” but the simple emptiness of action with no real consequences can be extremely helpful for our psyche. I often view gaming as my personal meditation time as it helps me remove myself from the usual struggles.

I signed up for EA Access just so I can get my 10 hour trial this week (I know I am playing into their monetization hands and I don’t care). I can guarantee that 10 hours simply won’t be enough. Each demo alone had me jonesing for a few days after.

I’m ok with that.

I love dipping my burger in ketchup. I can control the ketchup/burger ratio a lot more than if I pour it on.

It is more akin to Diablo and Warframe than Destiny.  People are generally comparing Anthem to Destiny because of the “loot-shooter” designation.

If you play the Colossus correctly and with the right load-out it can be a tank in the middle of the battle. Once I got used to the play style then it was tons of fun. I was always in the middle of the fray generating combos and aggression like crazy.

Yo, just an update and not a “told you so.” Apparently it isn’t a server capacity issue. I would link the tweet from Casey Hudson (dev), but I can’t access twitter while at work. I’ll quote it below.

True, true.  I guess I’m a little more patient than some, but that is probably because I’m still at work for a few more hours, haha.  Here is to hoping it gets ironed out soon since I desperately want to play.

I’m no expert, but this seems like a vast over simplification. Stress tests of anything of this nature are vastly more complicated than we like to believe. There are a LOT of moving parts, code, and variables that must work in tandem to ensure that it all works out appropriately. Mix the fact that every pre-order came

No worries. It happens to all of us. We tend to look back on things that we like more fondly than the truth. I’ve gotten countless hours of fun out of Destiny and I had a lot of frustration at the beginning. Always good to give companies a little time with this stuff. As long as the gameplay is strong and there are

Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but I do. I struggled to login into D1 consistently for the first week (couldn’t at all on day 1) and although D2 was a little better it still had issues at launch.

I chalk it up to entitlement and liking to sound superior.

Yeah, I don’t know of any online game that has had a completely successful server test. This was bound to happen and they will adjust what is needed. The hope is that this will allow them to have a stronger launch of the finished product.

With Bungie splitting from Activision, do you believe that other development studios may be emboldened to follow suit or is this an isolated incident?

Forza Horizon is a totally different type of game than the Motorsport series.  Horizon is an open world like game where you can street race passing cars, join series races, or just drive around and enjoy the scenery.  If you want to play a racing game without all of the “realistic simulation” stuff that can be boring,

There is an ornament that gives it the Taken curse.  Takes the look to another level.

I like the idea of enemy nameplates disappearing on ADS. This would be a fairly good solution that could stop one of the major issues without affecting the actual weapon. It may be a little bit harder to implement on the code side of things, but seems like it would be effective.

“And then every time you infuse a weapon to increase its power the mods reset,” one of us says while the other nods.

Social adaptation is a wonderful thing. I talk to my own students about it all the time as they really don’t have a filter (especially freshmen). Some people see it as changing themselves, but that isn’t the case. Successful adults learn to subtly change their behaviors in order to match the situation, while still
