Nope. The tensioner can fail, chain guides can fail. Neither of those really have a service interval as far as I know.

An instrument that tells me the remaining health points of my timing chain tensioner/guides would be fantastic. Or an instrument that gives the distance between the road surface 10 feet ahead and my oil pan in real time.
