Especially Space X, it ought to have everything grounded permanently unless he agrees to hand it over to the Government. He could still moan on twitter that he built it [he didn’t] every time he wanted to feel like he was still relevant.

A thousand percent agreed. It is insane to me that our government has helped this man weasel his way into “too big to fail” status for several of his companies, but particularly SpaceX.
Call me crazy but you shouldn’t NEED to be able to trace specific security leaks back to Musk to take action. Regular communication with a hostile foreign power should be enough to forfeit government contracts.
Making a V6 sound good is difficult, but yes, practically impossible with when there are turbos involved. Just the absolute worst combo you could ask for.
Bar none, Lincoln has the best model names in the industry right now:
Yep, Ferrari is making the all too common mistake of trying to be as fast as electric cars with an ICE engine. At this point, you gotta decide if you want the car to be “as fast as possible” or do you want the car to be “the best driving car possible”. It used to be that the most exciting cars were the fastest.…
Makes 0 sense for VW to have a separate platform from the Rivian if it can help it.
Exactly doubly so when you consider Cadillac is seen as up market from Lincoln. But cars are across the board to more and more expensive. Partly because of all the new fancy tech consumers seem to want, think surround cameras, all the ADAS stuff etc. and partly because consumers will just pay for it. And then…
Hopefully their 5 billion investment in Rivian software will help
Bumpers? A non-dreary black interior? A gas booster? Sheesh, they may have something there.
that’s pretty much what went wrong with the VW ID.Buzz launch. when they revealed it five years ago the specs it has now would have been class leading, but now... it’s a bit disappointing, especially at the price point.
Good point, a lot can change in the next 3 years. We still don’t know where they are sourcing the batteries but given their investment in Rivian, I’m betting they will be US built. I expect a lot of VW/VAG parts bin components under the skin too - not sure if that will be a good or bad thing. Then there’s the whole…
Why can’t we get a shorter cab and a 6' bed in an EV pickup? I know people want this minivan layout. I know regular and extended cabs don’t sell. I know all the reasons. But come on!!
Looks good...Still way too big for no reason because why not.
Lets be honest all full size trucks/suv’s from US automakers have been approaching this for a while. Most of the full size trucks on local lots are in the 60k to 70k+, that used to be like higher end BMW Merc money, now it’s every fucking non WT model truck.
Up here in Canadurr.....The Navigator has been $100K vehicle for years. I have 6-7 on the lot and they avg $112-134K
Is nobody gonna mention that this platform is now EIGHT years old?
These tarted up versions of mass market body on frame SUV's are getting ridiculous. Know there are more goodies but a loaded Expedition or Tahoe isn't a penalty box.
I knew a guy that was former Tesla working on Apple car. Def have whatever engineering they need to do it. But it’s a product that will be almost impossible to make money on in the U.S. market. TSLA still doesn’t make money without government help.
Hopefully this means Ford’s EV plans will factor in this competition and address it.
