2nd Gear: Comparing electric auto sales against Europe seems like a bad comparison. Europe is decidedly much better suited for electric vehicles than the US. We still have a crap electric infrastructure; most electric cars are built for the wealthy although that’s finally beginning to change. The gigantic sprawling

1st Gear: Here’s what’s going to happen on tonight’s earning call. Elon is going to talk about how hundreds of thousands of cars got “Full” Self Driving demo this month and then he’s going to spew a bunch of statistics that sound impressive (miles without intervention, trips completed, etc.) while completely glossing

It’s genuinely incredible to watch the chaos that ensues when the person in charge of a massive company has the attention span of a mayfly. Just one unconsidered, knee-jerk reaction after another.

500lbs more than my GX470 and right at the same weight as my Escalade. I need to start investing into Tire company stocks.

That’s how I felt - nothing in this universe matters anymore because it can always be undone in some alternate dimension. Or whatever. So why do I care? What are the stakes now?

For now, I agree - they’ve done a GREAT job of keeping Deadpool fresh, but we’re only two movies in. As excited as I am about #3 coming up here, neither am I disillusioned to the point that I think they’ll be able to keep it fresh forever. I’ll just enjoy this next one, wish them the best, and see how it goes.

the multiverse is a blank cheque for writers

The problem is that they dove into time travel and multiverses too soon.

Now, nothing matters in the universe anymore. They can tell any story they want, and it’s all completely inconsequential because it can easily be wiped out by another universe and/or time travel.

“Getting” tired of superhero movies? No, I’ve been tired of them for some time now. But Deadpool? Nuh-uh. I will pay $20 to see Deadpool IX the day it comes out.

Exactly.  A cheap vehicle now is far far better than a robotaxi.  Target those uber drivers.  Robotaxi will just light a huge workforce protest with any organization that wants to buy a fleet of them.

#4 should be #1 it is way more important. I hope the UAW steam rolls the south auto plants. No more kids working for KIA and other BS they getting away with.

I personally think the C6 Z06 is the pinnacle. 7.0L NA V8 is just amazing. The styling is restrained in a way I enjoy. But the ZR1 has that dopey clear hood panel to look at the engine cover that would just make me feel like the biggest dork ever. Plus it’s heavier.

I dunno why the C6 has become the apple of everyone’s eye sudden. I guess time has moved on and we can now forgive its plastic fantastic interior and see it as a purpose built canyon/track carver, but IMO if I was to buy a corvette today, it wouldn’t be a C6. The C7 improved on the C6 formula in almost every way, I’d

Always loved Top Gear episode where they took muscle cars to the US. Good episode, and Clarkson loves the ZR1, which is fun to see.

Actually, this is very normal practice — and if you think the Limitation of Liability Act is “ancient” because it’s 173 years old, hoo boy..... You are in for a big surprise when you go and google “general averages” for the first time! Because wow, you obviously have not researched this at all if you’re talking about

Exactly this. Any CEO who makes such a statement should be booted immediately! It insane that he can say such as thing and still have a firm hold on his job. but these are insane times.

I think it can serve as a boat, once.

Humans can briefly survive the environment in the coronosphere of our sun.

Briefly.

I’d heard of them, but I always wondered if it was just a joke.

Nobody sued him for it yet.
