I’ve found that in the dry they stick really well. In the rain no worries on the highway and hard acceleration does not break them loose. The Dunlops, though admittedly old, broke loose in the rear a few times in hard acceleration in spite of the Quattro system.
Imagine buying a car from 2015 as a new vehicle in 2024. That’s what you get with Tesla, and people are beginning to realize this. Everybody who wanted a Tesla already has one, now Tesla is trying to attract the “everybody who wants a car” market but it’s turning out to be a hard sell.
Do they really depreciate because they’re poorly made though? Or is it the fact that you can get a brand new Maserati lease for super cheap compared to something like a Mercedes or Porsche? Because if you can lease a brand new one cheap, who’s going to want to finance a used Ghibli for $60k? It’s gotta drop way down…
Could have something to do with not wanting to align with a racist, narcissistic bigot. I know I’d feel self conscious buying into that.
Tesla Cars Lose Value Three Times Faster Than A Maserati
ContiContacts DWS are my go-to tire for my PNW locale. I put dedicated snow tires on my vehicle that takes me to the lifts, but everything else runs all year on the Continentals. They’re truly fantastic.
The modern crop of all-weather tires are awesome for people who live in places where winter is not quite cold enough to make full-on winter tires (like Blizzaks, etc.) work. I’m in NW Washington - it’s often 50+ here in the winter, with tons of fain of course. The warmth will make you wear down a pair of Blizzaks down…
Got the Cross Climate 2 for my current set of tires, they may not be at the top of their class anymore but they are a huge leap over even decent all season tires in wintry conditions. The difference from my previous just normal all season Michelin tires to the Cross Climate 2 was extremely noticeable the second there…
I just replaced our OEM tires on our CX9 with the Cross Climate 2. Drove home in a downpour over the weekend and zero complaints about the high speed hydroplaning cause there was none. Overall like the tires in the first 5-700 miles of ownership.
Agree on getting the best tires you can for what should be obvious reasons. I lasted about 60 days on the OEM tires three years ago. Bought the CC’2s, very happy with them. Will research when it’s time again cuz that’s progress.
I just got a set of CC2 tires about 6 months ago and I’ve been very happy with them. Safety was absolutely #1, but one of the other key features was low noise. Even with this new review, I’m still not sure I’d go with the Continentals.
oh man would love to see how the repair comes out.
I used to make windshields for MRAPs. They would stop a .50 cal AP round. The layup was .25 chem strengthened strike face, then NINE layers of half inch low iron glass then three quarters of an inch of polycarbonate anti-spall innermost. NO, the cyber truck is not bullet proof. Those windshields were made in two…
Not quite, 70k in 2007 is about $106k today. Now granted you are NOT getting into a current year Ferrari or Lamborghini for less than double $106k but also as Karl mentioned in another comment dealers are asking around $200k+ for the new G-TR, and you can just get a more “modern” car from Ferrari or Lamborghini when…
he takes it to the body shop at the point when Ridge Wallet cuts him a big fat check.
eh, I’d rather click this article than click the video. Not playing the video is what matters, right?
I shouldn’t have clicked this article, further promoting these kinds of videos. But thanks for noting that the glass is not bullet proof!
I mean I loved this car when it first dropped at just shy of $70k it was quicker than Ferrari and Lamborghini 0-60 and those were twice the price, but now at $121k+ there are other better cars for that price.
