Because most people are…. (let me try to phrase this gently)…. not very smart when it comes to personal finance.

R2 (and R3) can’t come soon enough. The only thing I don’t like about Rivian at this point is their “never CarPlay” attitude.
I mean this is Elon we are talking about; at one point, when Tesla was still “a car company”, he speculated 250,000 Cybertruck sales per year…
The overall quality of the 911 has also increased more than the quality of the Corvette over 50 years
It is wild. But maybe not everyone will be allowed to enjoy this one; some talk on the forums about the ZR-1 not being offered for sale in the EU.
If you look at the prices adjusted for inflation and compare them to the competition, Corvette prices really aren’t that unreasonable. The 911 has seen greater price creep across generations than the Corvette has.
$60k for an X1….
Tesla stock has much further to fall if the stock price is to align with reality. People forget just how much “future growth” is already priced into the stock; FSD, Tesla Roadster, 250k/year Cybertruck sales, Supercharging expansion, Tesla Semi, cheaper <$30k Model, Robotaxi, Optimus, etc. All of those have been…
I suspect that the “robotaxi” we saw was really just a reworking of the Model 2 prototype that Tesla cancelled a few months ago; which means that at some point it had a steering wheel and pedals.
I think this “robotaxi” is actually a repurposed Model 2.
Wrong picture for the Mazda 6. That’s not a 3rd generation GJ/GL Mazda 6; that’s a picture of the 2nd gen.
The chief really wanted a Cybertruck to drive home on the weekends, and he wasn’t going to pay for it himself…
Ok… I’m going to say it… we are hiring the below average dopes to be police officers and have been doing that for far too long. The standards for what it takes to join a police force have been lowered to the point where I just don’t expect these people to make good decisions. And this is bad, it’s very very bad for…
I agree with you, especially because Honda is already late to this party. Jumping into the market with yet another “premium EV” is a strategy Honda should have followed 5-10 years ago. Now the market wants an affordable EV, and it seems like Honda still has to start at the top and work its way into cheaper segments.
Honda hasn’t released what the final product will look like. The prototypes for the test drives were a modified CRV and Accord. The Accord looks pretty interesting with its wide body modifications to make the 0 platform running gear fit.
Per reporting by other outlets, Afeela will be based on this same 0 platform. Not clear yet whether Afeela will see production in the U.S. also; but it sounded like it was a possibility.
A close friend who works for Mazda NA told me that the rwd “6” was basically complete and ready to go to market when Mazda decided to move in a different direction. I wonder if Mazda will ever let us peak behind that curtain at what might have been.
I agree broadly with “every Mazda”, but felt like the 6 deserved a special shout out.
GJ/GL generation Mazda 6. Comfortable, spacious, communicative steering, and perhaps some of the most fluid controls and driving behavior you’ve experienced in a car. There is a reason automotive journalists loved that car until the very end, because it drove and handled like nothing else in the segment. By comparison…
I mean…
