Actually some cities have installed flashing yellow left arrow lights for this purpose. If red it’s a full stop and green a full go, if it’s flashing yellow means you can go when opposing traffic is clear.

It’s a dart. Or a missile. Its performance comes from thrust not lift, is what I’m getting at. Or more accurately, its relative thrust to drag. Yes, there is some lift, but its tiny compared to it just being a low drag dart. It’s a clever interpretation of what a paper airplane is...but I would say this is a record

MN DOT was my enemy as a child, they kept me in school through so many snow storms, go to bed with snow piling up and in the morning roads and streets clear and I had to shovel out the plow drift from the driveway so could get taken to bus stop/school. Bastards!

Someone is about to lose his CDL.

Define “should”. Should the 99% of people who don’t drive drunk be forced to blow into their car every time they need to go anywhere? Should I care if someone is too stupid to wear a seatbelt and gets themselves killed? Should we restrict everyone to exactly the same speed so there is no passing, no speed difference

Since all the tectonic plates float on magma, we all live on boats too and are not subject property tax.

It’s not just the “tiny fraction of” bad cops, it’s the overwhelming majority of chips who leap to protect bad cops from the consequences of their actions, and who in doing so, encourage that badness.

This is what police officers readily do, putting their lives on the line to save others. Pity that a tiny fraction of bad cops on a power trip ruin it for the rest

Pretty sure I would’ve chased the motherfuckers down like

That’s one of my pet peeves, along with only clearing a porthole on the windshield because you’re too lazy to get all of the snow and ice off

I fucking HATE people that can’t be bothered to clean their roofs off.

which begs the question: “Why the hell are these not EVs then?” it’s literally the perfect use case for EVs since idling does not waste energy like it does in an ICE.

So he is going to scrap a $30K truck because he can’t afford a $15K repair? Something doesn’t smell right about this story.

Ah, Freemen on the Land. These fuckers are annoying. Up here in Alberta, you run into them as soon as you leave a city centre. My friend is a County Patrol Officer. He’s a traffic cop for rural roads, investigates property crimes in the county, and settles/intervenes in property disputes and complaints between

FWD + snowy parking lot = time for reverse donuts

The part about not modifying cars is idiotic. If modifying a car is part of your enjoyment of it, by all means do that and have fun with it. If you plan on tracking a car, it’s probably a good idea to buy one that’s already modified. Keeping it stock is only a real requirement if your sole goal is to maximize return

Why the fuck would you engage in a high speed pursuit on a vehicle with a lo jack?

A Messy One

I don’t see how this reflects poorly on Carvana at all - he would’ve been absolutely screwed if this happened from a private seller or any used car dealer. The fact they let him trade it back in (twice), paid for a rental, and made the process easy only reflects well on Carvana. It’s this guy’s fault for not actually

And for accuracy:
