Seriously? These things are literally $1 at my local Dollar Tree. Just leave the damn 12v sockets in there and throw one of these into the socket at the factory. Voilà! You now have a 12v/USB backwards-compatible outlet.

It's a piece of metal all coiled up. The electricity heats it up. The heat lights the cigarette. Believe it or not you don't need fire to light a cigarette. Anyone who's lit a cigarette off the end of their last cigarette can tell you that.

I have that in my 80s boat. Telling people 'bring your own charger, you'll have your own 12V outlet'... true luxury.

Totally agree, why not have a 12v outlet with a USB "plug"?

My argument for the car trunk outlet:

Which sounds about right, actually. If you drive a newer car, especially one equipped to handle your portable music device or smartphone, there’s a good chance the 12-volt socket is going unused. Or you're just using a cigarette lighter socket as a USB port.

Why don't they just include an adapter to plug in its place? Best of both worlds and they shouldn't be more than $1 a car? I've never used any cig lighter of mine for cigarettes, but I do use them for a dash camera and phone charger..

What's awesomer (or shittier...I'll explain) is that a good deal of people are getting into electronic cigarettes. So there's no need for the lighters for them.

GTA V is really goddamn beautiful at some points. I remember diving underneath the waves to get away from cops and when I reemerged, I was treated with rocking waves and a gorgeous setting sun.

I can't believe they got Sandy Shores down to a tee. If anyone has visited that area in real life, you can literally see how good they re-created the place. I can almost smell the air and feel the sticky hot weather.

I want comfy back! So sick of all these trendy pseudo-sporty interiors with hard seats. Also those flashy concept interiors never happen anyway.
