It’s not about feeling generous or not. It’s about what works and what doesn’t. Why fight an uphill battle that won’t get you any results, to make a point, rather than an easier solution that does get results? Ultimately, I don’t care why people do something, I care that they do it.

Biopics tends to be disappointing (at least to me) because with few exceptions the formula seems to be a sequence of ‘important life events’ vignettes without any real character development or narrative thread. Except I’m not pushing Biden. Like I said (posted too soon and had to edit and add to my comment, you might not have seen the rest of it), there are three candidates I like way better. But my preference doesn’t mean I’m in denial about what the polls are showing at this early stage in the game.

Who is taking advice from republicans? People are reporting on this poll not saying “look, a republican poll said this, ergo Biden is the nominee”. And, pray tell, how do you know who the people want without, you know, a poll? There won’t be any kind of voting before the primaries so how do you gauge a candidate’s popularity before then? Polls aren’t the be all end all but they are a useful tool and have their place.

Why not just write an original series?
