HB2 was passed as a response to a non-discrimination ordinance passed by Charlotte.
Sadly the chorus of North Carolinians shouting “STOP IT!” are all packed into the urban districts that are represented by D’s. My sense is that HB2 helps the R’s in the NC Legislature get reelected in their mostly rural districts.

Of course, the people of Charlotte (or, their representatives, anyway) passed the city ordinance banning discrimination by orientation and mandating restroom accommodations for transgendered users, which got the NC Republicans in a tizzy.
Before I proceed...I’m not in favor of H2. Its an unenforceable, stupid law that does more harm than any potential good.
I was far too young to appreciate his 80's pop and MTV domination. I also didn’t realize how insanely talented of a musician Prince was until I saw this halftime show. He upstaged the damn game with that performance.
Probably the most live show done in the past 10 years. There’s no mistaking that the guitar and his voice are live. No backing track here.
