Is Chip Kelly secretly a Kardashian or something? Tons of scrutiny about the moves he's already made...what the hell, let's go work out Tim Tebow. Don't know if I've ever seen a coach actively courting a media frenzy like this.
The NFL did helpfully provide an example of an acceptable form of negotiation during this informal period:
On the play at 4:00 in the Pitt video, the corner lined up on Crowder blitzes, and Crowder basically takes two steps and turns around. Was that part of the original play call, or did the two of you make that change on the fly because you saw the blitz?
How do you stop Graham and Lynch? I'm sure Pete Carroll has some ideas.
Especially when just a couple weeks ago, paragon of unselfishness Dwyane Wade, career 29% 3-point shooter, just jacked one up at the end of the Hornets game instead of trying to come up with a higher-percentage shot...which would basically be any other shot except for Whiteside himself hoisting up a 3.
Clowney's doctor on the difference between this and why Chris Johnson was recently hospitalized:
File this under "things that happen when your D ends the season by giving up a perfect passer rating to Geno Smith."
"And he's coming to devour the world."
Totally agree. The mantra is backwards: growth of the sport in the US is good for MLS. But the kinds of players who will drive the national team forward from being decent to a team that consistently thinks about World Cup quarterfinal appearances are not going to go through this version of MLS other than at the very…
Genuinely don't know the answer to this: have teammates in any sport (who were teammates during both seasons in question) ever won MVP in back-to-back years?
Whatever you think of him as a player, it's gotta be a hell of a lot of fun to be Michael Beasley.
Apparently the issue with Whiteside in the past was about attitude. The Heat announcers made a point yesterday (before the scuffle) about how Spoelstra has praised his work ethic this year. He does definitely have some cockiness about him, as this shows. But I guess if you can back it up, that's not really an issue.
Love the way he casually goes around the world before throwing a perfect half-court pass at about the 1:49 mark. I know he's a small, slight kid, but it's crazy to think he didn't get offers from anywhere bigger than Davidson with that kind of ability.
Forman seemed very confident that Rose will be able to return in 4-6 weeks: "We anticipate 4-6 weeks as far as a recovery. We anticipate a full return to activity. This is an injury that's fairly common with NBA players or pro athletes, and a majority, most, are able to come back to competition, and it doesn't…
Yeah, any of the "dirty play" comments are coming from the Blackhawks home announcers freaking out and screaming about it. Petrovic got a cross-checking call, and I honestly don't think he would have if not for the injury. Just more of an unfortunate/unlucky play that he slipped and hit the boards that way.
Every PI proposal has flaws, but this is probably the best solution. Leaves open the option to hammer a defender for blatantly taking a guy down, while also (mostly) sparing fans from the virtually guaranteed TD on a weak 40-yard penalty.
The best line in this isn't even about Madden:
The video is from TakeMyTalent.com...does this mean LeBron Jr. is going to the Heat?
And here I thought Ripken was way too famous to go Incognito.
