I posted feedback in the most polite way possible, fully aware of the sensitivity of the topic. I even ended with a suggestion that the author ignore what I wrote if they wished.

My from reader advice: Understand that while you may desire a comprehensive and personally satisfying depiction of gender and sexual diversity in a game it is not first and foremost to most of the readers concerns.

The author is gay/trans and clearly this is an important topic in their life and so a portion of the article is dedicated to that even if this is of less criticality to someone who isn’t. Just a reflection of the author and what is important to them.
