I think the recency of the whole ordeal and the fact that had he been a few years older he’d almost certainly be in prison adds to the enormity of the situation. The fact that the victim’s mother is bashing OSU doesn’t help either.
This is standard public relations. What do you expect, a memo detailing what actually occurred and play-by-play guys discussing whether he should be pitching?
