The thing is, if they kept Logan in the picture one of two things would have happened: either Veronica and him would remain locked in the toxic co-dependency that defined the bulk of their relationship, or Veronica and him would have a functional marriage.

Either would be a form of stasis, and ultimately dramatically

And I loved how Robin coming out didn’t change the intensity of that relationship, just our (and Steve’s) understanding of the nature of that relationship.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Will is gay, but at this point I don’t think he has any sexuality. He’s a bit of a late bloomer, and he isn’t overrun with hormones yet. He just wants to play with his friends without all of this icky kissing getting in the way.

It was bipedal in the first season, too. It basically goes through 5 or 6 metamorpheses, molting out of its skin into its new form each time. The demodogs from last season were the penultimate form. The bipedal form is the final form.

And I love how, even though the show ruled out a romantic relationship between them, by the finale that friendship is ironclad. Each of them would die for the other one. Even if they end up living on opposite coasts, they’re going to be in each other’s lives in some way or another.

The last time they used Peter Gabriel’s cover of “Heroes”, it was when they pulled the fake Will Byers corpse out of the quarry. So I think it was definitely a tip of that hat that Hopper is not actually dead.

You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few dozen eggs.

Agreed 100 percent. Second only to Nancy’s heart to heart with her mom for my favorite scene. Both of them make valid points, but both of them are being myopic. Nancy can’t see past her class privilege, and Jonathan can’t see past his gender privilege.

And yet, somehow Robin totally pulls it off.

I think Madi accidentally stabbing Jordan instead of Simone will be a bit of a wake up call for her that maybe the Dark Commander isn’t the best mentor for her.

Superorganism and “Legion” go together like peanut butter and jelly. I saw them live once, and yes, they really are that weird.

When shows do episodes like this, I hate it when the writers just use it as an excuse to do whatever the hell they want.

This episode did a good job of establishing some simple, concrete rules for how the mindspaces work, and then stuck to them. The payoff with the Christmas lights in the diner and the Morse code

Yeah, I think for most of this season it was an open question with Trish and Malcolm who would end up being the Big Bad. Malcolm was ultimately able to pull back from the brink, while Trish wasn’t.

Will this be the first reality TV series to trigger a mass shooting?

I think the difference is that he’s never been through the life experience of looking for work, or the stress of job interviews, or how nerve-wracking the first day at new office can be.

I think Trish is clearly the Big Bad of the season.

Ryker was a kid when he died the first time, but he’s a 209-year-old man now. The vampires who are turned as children are shaped by the fact that they’re trapped in the bodies of children. But for the Primes, immortality works differently, like rings on a tree. They age over and over again, and then start anew. So

Frankie’s gender situation has been ambiguous the entire series. I wouldn’t be surprised if the character identifies as male when reconciliation occurs next season, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if the gender situation remains in flux next season.

I’m not sure that it’s as tidy as that. I’m not sure that Frankie has it all figured out.

I’m probably part of the problem, because I watched the first season faithfully but fell off a couple episodes into the second season.

I loved what was there,  but I always felt like it should have been a half-hour show instead of an hour-long show. The episodes felt too long for what they were.
