Since Ricky's only discernible talent is to point and laugh at others he should fit right in with a group of undeveloped minds
Since Ricky's only discernible talent is to point and laugh at others he should fit right in with a group of undeveloped minds
There's a lot of talk here about 'backlash' and 'So now we hate him?' etc but to be fair Ricky has a very long history of having been very unpleasant indeed. Over the years there's been a slew of unpleasant remarks and material. Much of it has been deleted now and glossed over but the acts of playground bullying, the…
We had the peak with the UK office and the wonderful, wonderful nadir with Derek. Everything else is just meh^10
This show doesn't stack up and the acting and script are shoddy. It's basically rubbish, but entertainingly so.
Much like most of the season, this looked ace and had some some decent acting, but was instantly forgettable garbage. If Louis took a poop in the Jizzy-bun syrup holder and invited us to crouch under for a fresh-pour as he dispensed his still-steaming defecant into our wanton gob, it would be a fair metaphor for his…
peggy looking out of the window to see the dogs humping in the parking lot would have been the absolute perfect sign-off for pegs. i don't know how they'll top that and suspect it'll end up an inferior re-hash
Maybe I have different expectations because i come from a generation where drama typically had (much) fewer episodes, but I consider season 7 to be the ending and the final scenes to be just that. I'm not fixated by whether the final scene will be perfect, but i do think it's been a below-par season which has dawdled…
Seinfeld wasn't anything like Mad Men. A good final season is more important to Mad Men because it's a crucial part of the journey. There was no journey in Seinfeld. They could literally have Jerry wake up and go 'it was all just a dream' and nobody would really have given a toss.
I didn't make any reference to the nature of the ending, just the timing. This season has been pretty knackered out and heavy handed. I think in retrospect that'll be more apparent.
As this season drags on it's looking increasingly like either season 5 or season 6 could have provided a timely end. Nothing much going on here that we haven't been through before, and compounded by the decision to split that nothing much in two.
This show was funny once upon a time. Now it's just sad
This season has been boring. I'd defend to the hilt Mad Men's slow pace and specifically the slow start each season so often makes, because that foundation has been crucial to the tension then change in pace later in seasons. But it's just been a bit poor really. We're here - we've almost arrived. You can analyse it…
i warned you it was shit
No, it's rubbish. Don't waste your time. And the idea of having grades is idiotic and can't be relied upon for anything.
This just isn't very good tv at all.
why would you restrict yourself by using an A-Z format? Seems like a pretty dumb thing to do from the readers POV.
Missing plenty of christmassy introductions to great UK comedy so here's a few of the best:
Seriously guys, 'The Affair' is dreadful television. It does not deserve the company it's keeping. The chasm between The Affair and Louie is inexplicable and tbh I pretty much gave up reading this sites reviews after getting dragged into several episodes of it.
I think it's (both versions) far superior to The Knick. I found The Knick pretty average all told and I don't think i'll be investing another 10 hours in it. It just felt as though i've seen these stories in dramas and soap operas a thousand times before and the unusual context doesn't rescue it from mostly…
Watched the whole season with high hopes but all the pretty camera angles and lighting and soundtrack and a fascinating subject didn't save it from being a bit meh. A handful of Mad Men, sprinkle of Deadwood and dash of the equally disappointing BWE and there you have The Knick. Prestige drama by numbers and lacking a…
