This is infuriating. I’ve had to pick up the same medication for my partner, who was prescribed it under similar circumstances. It’s bad enough that you need to verbally acknowledge that it will cause a miscarriage. I can’t imagine the humiliation/sadness this woman must’ve experienced. I’d like to think if it was me…

I see your point about “ideal victims” and agree with it. One additional thing about miscarriages, however, is that there’s a dead embryo in your body that needs to come out. And, as the article notes, if your body doesn’t automatically flush it out, you must do one of two things - take the misoprostil, or get a D&C.…

Seriously. If he doesn’t “believe” in dispensing medication to patients, maybe he shouldn’t be a fucking pharmacist, and maybe employers should be able to deny jobs to people that don’t believe in science or helping people.

People who think their feelings are more important that providing healthcare to a person should not work in healthcare in any capacity.

The big takeaway for me is there’s an unmarked way for me to get into Canada... I think I’ll start planning my dash for freedom.

If we’re that worried about said international border, it should be clearly marked and fenced so people can’t accidentally cross it.
