This is so true- generally if women have long, bleached blonde hair, a tan, and lots of makeup, there is a subset of dudes (generally of the frat or redneck variety) who automatically see them as hot, but a quick glance at their faces is enough to see they are most definitely NOT attractive.

So sorry :( I’ve been there- lost my first pregnancy at 9 weeks (after we’d seen the heartbeat and were told everything looked great just a week before).

Given that the two middle school girls in the Slenderman case DID carry out their plans, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that these girls would have taken this pretty far.

Ha! My dad was just talking about how I used to love that show as a kid and he thought it was the stupidest show ever. I just really liked the little mouse and her little mousy apartment!

I was afraid of scorpions in my bed down by my feet, so I used to wear thick socks to bed so they couldn’t sting me. I also grew up about 3000 miles from any scorpions.

I took misoprostal for a miscarriage and the pharmacist was very compassionate- you could see in his eyes that he knew what it was for and that he felt terrible for me as I stood there leaning on my husband, all tear-stained and grief-stricken. I don’t know what I would have done if he’d refused to fill it, but it

Right, which is why I don’t think it’s really about producing heirs. It’s all for the publicity.

Good to know! I ended up being induced at a week overdue with my first- and that was after two weeks of going for long walks, marching up and down the stairs, having my membranes “swirled” (twice), sex, and spicy food. NOTHING worked. We need to put down new flooring in our dining room, so maybe I’ll save that project

I’m guessing it isn’t all about producing heirs- they still want to carry on the bloodline regardless. More Royals=more power. Plus it’s good PR for them because everyone loves a Royal Baby.

I got pregnant a week after the HSG too- and that was after 2 years of trying (and a miscarriage in there). They didn’t find any issues with me during the test, but even with my husband’s very low morphology, I was pregnant right away! And I’m now 27 weeks with #2, who was conceived the first month of actually trying-

Hey there are some days where just taking a shower is a victory. Celebrate it.

I don’t have experience with wellbutrin or lexapro, but I remember weaning off Celexa was pretty rough for me. It was a great med and worked really well for me, but the initial symptoms when I first started taking it and the withdrawal symptoms when I weaned off were ROUGH!

We’ll be in Holland most likely, so just over the line into the 2nd.

For me at least, it’s not that I didn’t notice (I’m a social worker for at-risk teenagers, so kind of hard to miss), it’s that I’m so frustrated that it’s just getting worse and worse instead of getting better. I’ve got girls coming in with stories of being harassed, but they don’t want to tell the boy to f off

Well, it won’t be in time for the upcoming election, but 2 more progressive voters (raising what will hopefully be two more progressive voters) are coming to West Michigan (and man, that area can USE more left leaning types!)

More good news out of MI (I grew up there, family still lives there, we’re planning to move back there next summer)- my mom has thrown herself full force into the anti-gerrymandering effort (Proposal 2 I think?) and after months of gathering signatures, she’s spend the last several days canvassing all over the place.

Oh wow, scary! Reminds me of when I lived in DC during the sniper attacks!

Seriously, I’m due in January with daughter #2 and I just.....don’t know how I’m going to raise 2 girls in this world.

I was on bed rest with my last pregnancy and I definitely could have worked from home (or at least done a portion of my job, which would have really helped the poor colleagues who ended up having to cover for me), BUT our HR person told me that if I’m getting short term disability, I can’t do ANY work from home or it

Exactly. People who are long-time alcoholics have erratic tolerances where one day they can drink a shit ton and not appear physically impaired while the next day they can be wasted and black out off of one drink. It’s a sign of end stage alcoholism.
