Several of Sandra’s shows have been on HGTV, but I’ve always been sad that they didn’t last long because I love watching her tell people what they need to hear. I was so excited when I found Buy Herself on Netflix a few weeks ago (unfortunately I’ve watched all the episodes now).

We use white vinegar for cleaning all of the time because we have a young child and pets (we do use Clorox for most kitchen surfaces, though). It’s also great for cleaning old glassware, gently cleaning the canvas in our pop-up camper, and a ton of other things. We do not, however, use it in place of actual medicine.

No, I think you’re right. The tone of the whole thread was mocking hipsters.

“Issued Executive Order abolishing Democracy and naming myself King of America. Sucker!”

The ones with rich parents can.

That’s the thing though- I don’t think she does know it. If you see the interview with her on Dr. Phil, it’s clear she’s got some cognitive limitations (that doesn’t make her any less offensive or annoying) and instead of getting her some help, Dr. Phil, her mom, and whatever sleazebags helped her make this video are

I think the worse part is that her rise to internet “fame” seems to be more about people exploiting a 14 year old girl who appears to have some disabilities (maybe mental health, maybe cognitive issues, but something is definitely off). I remember seeing the clip from when she was on Dr. Phil and being sickened at all

I don’t think 36 is too old to enjoy life, I just think it’s too old to behave like you’re 21 (meaning, going to a music festival to be seen and test out your new snapchat filters, rather than to listen to the music)

It’s easy to be young at heart when you’ve never had a real job or any real responsibility.

Fair enough- I’ll rephrase. Paris Hilton is too old to be gallivanting around Burning Man acting like a 22 year old who raided her 12 year old sister’s closet.

I am fully aware of the school funding issue- I am an educator, as are my husband, mother, and brother. I don’t even want to know how much we all pay out of pocket per year for school/classroom supplies.

I know- I’m exhausted. There are SO many awful things happening that I get completely overwhelmed and feel even more helpless. But I can’t ignore it, either because pretty much every awful thing directly affects my students.

I was with you until you started complaining about school supply lists.

I think she’s maybe a year younger than me, and I’m about to tun 38. So, a good 10-15 years too old to be going to Burning Man.

The article didn’t mention the Churros! These are the BEST! Unfortunately they’re not always available, so when they are we stock up.

Agreed on the cereal. I’ve found the Honey Nut Cheerio knockoffs to be pretty decent, but I’m not a fan of the rest of them.

You can use credit cards at Aldi, at least the ones near us.

We usually get their produce but that’s because the produce at our local grocery store is AWFUL (always rotten, bruised, etc.) so Aldi is much better by comparison.

We just keep a quarter in the console of our car (“the Aldi quarter”). You get it back when you return your cart, so you can just use the same quarter every time you go.

Yup, both of the ones near us accept credit cards too.
